Gear That Protects the Joy
Every Canter show is run to USEF safety standards. We believe the safest rider is the most confident rider — so we make the rules easy to follow and the gear easy to find.
ASTM/SEI Helmet
Required for every rider, every class. Certified helmets only — no exceptions, no excuses.
Riding Boots
Hard-soled boots with a defined heel. Prevents foot from slipping through stirrups.
Body Protector
Mandatory for jumping divisions. BETA Level 3 certified vests — loaners available at every venue.
Riding Gloves
Recommended for all divisions. Improves grip and protects hands during longer classes.
On-Site First Aid
Certified first aider present at every show. Parents receive the venue medical contact on entry morning.
Certified Officials
USEF-licensed judges and experienced stewards run every ring. Welfare decisions are final.
Real Families, Real Ribbons
The best part of every show day isn't the trophy — it's the look on a kid's face when they ride out of the ring.

Marisol cried at the in-gate before her first class. She trotted in, halted perfectly, and walked out with a blue ribbon. She hasn't stopped talking about it.
Diana Reyes
Mom of Marisol, Canters Division
I didn't know my diagonals the first day. By week six I was correcting myself before the judge called it. Canter actually teaches you, not just enters you.
Avery Thompson
Age 11, Trotters → Canters
As a barn manager I've seen a lot of leagues. Canter's officials actually know horses. They scratched a class when the footing was soft. That's rare.
Patrick O'Brien
Barn Manager, Oakfield Stables
My daughter qualified for Regionals in her second season. She was more excited about the qualifying ribbon than about any birthday present she'd ever received.
